Two senior citizens of Varanasi were honoured with Rudraksha Mala, Angvastram, flower pot and citations. Their respective names are as follows.

They were given hampers , mala and basket of goods.
The Helpage India was presented cash donation of 2,12,732 ₹ as collected by students, teachers and management of the school.
A medical camp was also organized on this day where doctors for eye, urology, skin, ENT, orthopedic, cardiology, diabetes, gynaecology, dentistry and general physicians were present. Doctors were given gifts and certificates. A separate list is appended containing names of doctors, their mobile numbers and respective medical expertise.

Esperanza Fiesta 2023-24 is a conflux of events to promote the scientific temperament in young Smithian. The event includes series of competition like- For classes Lower Nursery and Upper Nursery were Wordy muse- a poetry competition in which children have to tell self created poem on the topic- Environment and send their video of 1minute 30 second. Next event was Supernova - ramp walk which was a fancy dress competition on the topic Planets and celestial bodies in these children have to dressed up for the same and made their videos of 1minute 30 second. For classes 1and 2 the first event was The style expedition of scientist. The children dressed up like a scientist Or any profession and made 1 minute video,best 5 videos were selected by the class teacher from each class and then our panel of judges selected the best 10 videos. The second Intra level event for above mentioned programs was held on 30th September. Top 10 students performed on the stage. 1st winner of the above round participated in iner school competition. The scientific wizard- was the science exhibition competition for classes 1 to 4. Best 2 models from each class and were presented in Intra school competition. Best model participated in Inter school competition. The second event for classes 3&4 was spark of science quiz competition. The first round was in a form of written mcq papers out of which 6 students were selected and divided into the teams for the Imtra school quiz round. Team which stood 1st went for Inter school competition. •Unleash your creativity–It was a collage making competition for students of classes 5 and 6. The topic given to the students for the competition was ‘skilled India’ in which participants used colours and stationary of their choice but were prohibited to use scissors or any type of cutter. The winner of the competition was selected for inter school competition. •Sensomania– Sensomania, a competition based on the senses and presence of mind of the participants. Students of classes 5 and 6 participated in it. Participants were blindfolded and were given a object to guess with the help of their senses other than sight. They were also supposed to describe the object for 3 minutes. The winner participated in inter school competition. •Modish Sciemedia – The participants in this competition were students of classes 7 and 8. They performed an experiment or explained any principle or mechanism based on science. The best presenter was selected for the inter school competition. •Amusing Anecdotes –The students of classes 7 and 8 participated in this story telling competition in which they were supposed to narrate a story based on any scientific invention, discovery or laboratory experiment for 3 to 4 minutes. The best narrator was selected for the inter school competition. •Glowing Genius –The students of classes 5 to 8 participated in this model making competition. The participants presented their innovative and unique ideas in the form of a model in a time limit of 3 minutes. The best participant was selected for the inter school competition. •Codies 2.0 –The students of classes 5 to 8 participated in this competition in which class 5 students made a presentation of 10 slides using MS PowerPoint, students of class 6 made an animation/quiz/story using Scratch 2.0/ Scratch 3.0 and students of classes 7 &8 designed a web page using HTML codes with their monitors turned off. •Mathophile–The students of classes 5 to 8 participated in this competition. The participants made a model related to mathematical topics of their choice. Each student got 3 minutes to present their model. The winner was selected for the inter school competition.
Maths Marathon
To foster an interest in the subject and develop mathematical skills in the students, Maths Marathon was held. The Chief Guest for the day was Prof. Manoj Prakash Tripathi, Department of Mathmatics, Udai Pratap Autonomous College, Varanasi. Welcome of Chief Guest, Dr. Alka Singh, Guest of Honour Dr. Poonam Singh, Principal Dr. Anita Pauline Dey, Teachers In-charge and Participants was done by Mrs. Sangeeta Nayak. It was followed by School Song (Stand) and Blessing and honor, Glory and Power song that were sung by school choir. History of the school was read by Mrs. Kirti Srivastava and Vision of Concordia: A Report was read Mrs. Shubha Kaur.

On 27th April 2024, the Annual Senior Elocution Competition of W. H. Smith Memorial School was held in a befitting manner. Mrs Shereen Shankar and Prof. Sangeeta Jain were the judges for the English Elocution while Dr Sapna Bhushan and Dr Pawan Kr. Pandey adjudged the Hindi poetry recitals. Also present at this event were the Administrative Officer of the school, Mrs Pratyasha Mary Mukherjee and the Co-ordinator of the school, Mrs Sangeeta Nayak.
The event got off to a flying start with the formal welcoming of the guests. They were all received in the Smith tradition and presented with an angavastram and a potted plant. Thereafter, the programme commenced. All the sections of Classes 6 to 8 recited poems in English, Hindi and Sanskrit confidently on the stage while Classes 9 and 10 articulated their poetry with a lot of flair. The seniormost classes of the school – Classes 11 and 12 – delivered a powerful performance by rendering extracts from the Shakespearean tragedy, Macbeth.
The entire event was organised in a disciplined and synchronized manner. The judges were amazed to see the confidence and hear the oratory skills of the students. All of them spoke highly about the importance of the spoken word and advised the students to choose their words wisely.
The programme ended the declaration of the results of the various categories. The guests were felicitated and the finally the vote of thanks was delivered
Debate
The 11th edition of the Claude Martin Debates and The Boulne Lise Memorial Quiz was held between 24th July, 2024 and 27th July, 2024, at La Martinere Boys College, Lucknow. A total of thirty two schools across the country registered for the programme, including one school from Nepal. The 11th edition of the Claude Martin Debates and The Boulne Lise Memorial Quiz was held between 24th July, 2024 and 27th July, 2024, at La Martinere Boys College, Lucknow. A total of thirty two schools across the country registered for the programme, including one school from Nepal. The Smith school quiz team of Ansh Upadhyay and Rudra Pratap Singh reached the finals of the Boulone Lise Memorial Quiz after qualifying in the gruelling preliminary rounds. The debate team of Samriddhi Sankrit, Arna Shandilya, Diptanshi and Arya Singh participated in the Claude Martin Debates. The debate followed the Cambridge pattern, where each team had to go through three preliminary rounds. Each team was represented by a principal speaker, the 2nd and 3rd speaker putting forth their ideas. At the end the principal speaker had to sum up the team"s views. Each round had intriguing and diverse topics, fiercely contested by all the speakers. Samriddhi Sankrit from W.H Smith Memorial School was awarded the best speaker in two of the preliminary rounds of The Claude Martin Debates. The debaters from Calcutta Boys School, Kolkata and the Quiz team from Boys High School, Prayagraj were declared the winners. The 4-day extravaganza was organised by LEO - the student wing of the school. It was an enjoyable and learning experience for all.
